Grizzly G0654 6" x 46" Jointer
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-12-28 Summary: Cannot beat the price ... This jointer is well worth the price. It is heavy and requires at least two to move the crate. It assembled just like the instructions showed, but was more assembly than I had anticipated. Keep in mind it is sheet metal and requires assembly as such. For example, do not tighten the screws until you have started all the related screws. You may need to go back and loosen some bolts to get the sides of the base to align with the screw holes. But some patient work will result in a terrific machine. It runs smoothly and ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-09-25 Summary: Review of Grizzly G0654 6 Jointer ... This is a great Jointer and a great value. I prevously owned a Sears jointer and have used several others. First, most competing jointers offered by other manufacturers at a similar price range only have two cutters and turn at a much lower speed. This jointer is a joy to use and gives a very fine surface. The workmanship is professional and well designed. The dust collecting system is exceptional with very few wood particles escaping the the machine. Jointers typically make a large quantity of sawdust. I would recommend ...more

Grizzly G0452 6" Jointer
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-10-22 Summary: Great Value, Great Customer Service ... I've had this Joiner for about a week now and have run a good bit of stock through it. I've found it to be more than powerful, straight, easy to setup and VERY easy to move around with the wheels. This will get used very much in my shop. The only draw back was just all the grease on the surfaces for shipping. It was completely excessive and took a while to clean up but that's a minimal grip at best. ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-08-03 Summary: Good value, good jointer. ... I have had the jointer for a few days now and am very pleased with it. I just ran about 60 board feet of walnut through it today and I'm happy with the results. Heavy duty, and just plain heavy. Listen to them when they suggest that you have a friend help you put it together. The reason I chose this jointer over the competition is that the quality is very high for the cost. I'm sure it's not what a furniture building shop running every day would want, but for me (hobby use), it is definitely a big step up from the ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-04-14 Summary: Great jointer! ... This is the first jointer I've ever owned. It's probably a bit heavy-duty for a first-time jointer, but I'm really glad I went with it. It's about 300lbs overall so it comes via freight, but that process was really easy. Setup after I got home was pretty easy too. I've only been able to run a couple boards through, mainly for setup, but the cuts were perfect and extremely smooth. This has turned out to be a much better buy than I even expected it to be. The built-in mobile base is also an excellent feature. It makes ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-12-03 Summary: Inexpensive but works well ... This makes the jointer blade adjustment very easy. Don't forget to mark the fence before you take out the blades or you will have to take longer to put them back right. ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-03-05 Summary: Works like a charm ... I own a Harbor Freight jointer (Paid $165 for it). No features. Just a motor, bed, fence and cutter head with three blades. Murder to set the blades accurately. I've spent hours trying to get them close to being in the right position. Since I chanaged the original blades, I've never had more than one knife cutting the wood. Very frustrating. Less than 20 minutes after I pulled this little jewell out of the packaging, it was perfectly aligned. The outfeed table is at exactly the same height as the blades. The blades ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-08-22 Summary: great jig!! ... I don't know what the bad reviews are about because this thing is precise and easy to use. I spent too much money on mine but supported my local woodworking shop and it was money well spent. I have a Jet jointer and found the guys review who complained that the devise obscured his tightening bolts to be irrelevant because you can move the Jointer Pal by moving your fence. If you keep your blade at TDC you can easily move the jig and tighten all the bolts. And mine does no rack on the rods at all. Took me about 20 minutes ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-05-16 Summary: I'm pleased ... I bought the Jet Helical Head Jointer from a competitor a few days before Amazon listed it. Overall I'm very pleased so far. Delivery is in two boxes, one large, the other massive. All parts were reasonably protected and undamaged. Assembly was straight forward and took about an hour. 2 people are required to safely lift the jointer bed onto the stand. All required assembly tools are included, though I choose to use a 14mm socket on my wrench instead of the provided 14mm open ended wrench. One of the washers wasn't ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-11-05 Summary: 1st Jointer I've Ever Bought. ... I was worried about the delivery of such a heavy item but should not have, everything went smoothly despite the shipping company not having my telephone number, (my fault), and the difficulty of finding their number, (Amazon's fault, I don't know why contact info is so difficult to find on internet orders sometimes). CEVA Logistics in the Bay Area (510)475-1620 or (510)475-1500! Jointer is a nice solid machine, I've used an equivalent POWERMATIC jointer but so far the helical blades are proving superior. The fence ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-09-11 Summary: Great delivery ... I just received this. Was a bit worried about the delivery but I can't say enough good things--thanks Amazon. Delivered to home; driver had lift gate and pallet jack. Unloaded and moved up driveway into my garage. This is a far cry from the last jointer years ago that was brought to the back of the truck and then my wife and I had to unload while the driver watched (with amusement). The jointer was well packed and everything went together easily (you do need two people to lift the tables and set down on the base though). ...more
